ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Steve Marks was born in Vancouver, received his B.A. from The University of British Columbia and his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Oregon.

In 1992, he retired with emeritus status from a 23-year teaching career at The University of British Columbia in the Department of Counseling Psychology and was the inaugural TEC Chair in Vancouver in 1987. TEC (The Executive Committee/Vistage) is a worldwide organization dedicated to the Personal and Professional Development of CEOs, Presidents, and Key Executives. Presently, he chairs three Key Executive Groups and consults to organizations, helping people work together more productively.

His interest in nutrition began on a sabbatical in 1983 and his passion for helping people eat nutritionally continues today.

In addition to being an author, Stephen Marks helps organizations identify roadblocks to their effectiveness and intervene to neutralize restraints and free the organization’s creative and constructive resources.  Help create a culture of openness, trust, creativity, and engagement where people listen to each other, communicate clearly, avoid misunderstandings, and resolve conflicts constructively while getting the job done.
